Once again it is time stand up, walk, and give support to the services that help persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Long Beach area and to help persons at risk prevent HIV infection . AIDS Walk is a reminder that HIV/AIDS is still with us. People are still getting HIV and becoming ill from AIDS. The fight is still not over. Today though we can celebrate the tremendous advances that can make HIV/AIDS treatable and manageable. We still though do not have a cure and there is much involved in helping keep persons living with HIV/AIDS healthy. We can continue to put one foot in front of the other to help get to Zero HIV/AIDS: zero new HIV infections, zero AIDS-related deaths and zero HIV-related stigma!
